1.15 Our Commitment to Improvement/Suggestions/Complaints

Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)

At SUBWAY® and THE COMPANY, we believe that Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) is not just a process—it’s a philosophy that guides everything we do. Our commitment is to continually improve our operations, working conditions, productivity, products, and service.

We use the following methodologies to achieve CQI goals:

  • Work Improvement Now (WIN): Focused on improving the processes you follow in your daily work.
  • Quality Improvement Process (QIP): Focused on improving processes that impact an entire department, multiple departments, or the company as a whole.

Suggestions and Complains

We believe continuous improvement is part of our culture, and every team member has a responsibility to help make our stores better every day. Your input matters.

  • Suggestions & New Ideas: Team Members are strongly encouraged to share suggestions, comments, or new ideas that may benefit SUBWAY®, THE COMPANY, our guests, or working conditions. Fresh ideas are essential to keeping our business competitive and successful.
  • Complaints & Concerns: From time to time, concerns or problems may arise. Management has a responsibility to listen, answer, and attempt to resolve issues—whether business-related or personal.

Open Door Policy

THE COMPANY maintains an Open Door Policy (see Open Door Policy). This means you have the right to discuss matters directly with any member of management.

Feedback Process

  1. When you have a suggestion or concern, first bring it to your manager.
  2. If the matter is not resolved, or if you prefer, you may contact the Director of Operations directly.
  3. Team Members are encouraged to complete the Team Member Feedback/Suggestion Form to submit ideas, suggestions, or complaints.

We value and recognize the contributions of our Team Members. Participation in improvement efforts helps us build a stronger future for everyone.

Note: Any suggestion, comment, or new idea may require review and approval by SUBWAY® before being implemented in THE COMPANY’s locations and/or company-wide.
